Plan a session

Generated day makes a day at the intensity you choose. Real schedule uses recorded airline traffic. Choose a recorded day on the calendar or one of your own schedules. Training offers lessons for working traffic.

A recorded day flies as it was flown. Today and future dates use the most recent recorded day with the same weekday. The calendar and Day panel show which day you have chosen. Home lists airports with real schedules, and Check looks up an airport. If there are no recorded flights, the planner offers Generated day.

The Schedules tab holds your schedules and those shared by other controllers. The start time is in the airport’s local time. With a schedule, the aircraft on the ground at that time begin at their gates.

Flight data: adsb.lol contributors (ODbL 1.0). Gate positions: OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL 1.0). Keep these credits with a day or schedule you share from this data.

   Select a day and a start time, or use the simulator's clock.

   Choose where you sit. Tower cab covers Delivery, Ground and Tower. Approach and Departure puts you on the Terminal scope. You can also work both.

   Choose your liveries if you are using a simulator. In Radar only, choose real weather, a preset or custom weather.

   If you want others to join, choose an option under Open this session to others. Shared sessions are in testing.

   Choose Begin session, or Save plan if you are planning ahead for your simulator.

Include the TRACON brings arrivals from Center and sends departures on to Center. Choose it before the session starts if you want to work Approach or Departure, or have others take those positions.
